Jon Luxton

Jon is well-known disability rights campaigner, performer and co-artistic director for ‘uhhuh dance’, long time member and former chair of Disability Arts Cymru, and a former Arts

Council advisor. Since 2002, Jon has worked as a trainer, a lecturer, a facilitator, an author and a service designer. This work included whole project delivery, freelance advisor work and the delivery of large-scale capacity building D&E training.

Jon is currently the specialist advisor for disability for the Minister for Social Justice, Welsh Government. Prior to this appointment his career spanned 16 years’ experience as an equality / diversity trainer / bespoke course designer working both in the private and public sector for organisations such as the Arts Council, Local Authorities, Welsh Millennium Centre, Chapter Arts Centre and Welsh Government.

By way of example, he has co-designed and delivered a major Inclusive Service Provision programmes for government economic development departments in Wales which was delivered to over 600 people.
