Richie Turner Associates Ltd is a research and consultancy company that specialises in the arts and creative industries sectors, and is led by its founder Richie Turner.
We provide an exceptional level of professional expertise, developed through many years of successful individual experience and industry practice, throughout Wales, the UK and internationally.

About Me!
Richie has worked in the arts, creative industries, and higher education sector in Wales for over 35 years with senior roles in Nesta, Arts Council of Wales, and the University of Wales. He jointly founded Nofit State Circus, led Wales’ first multicultural arts company (CADMAD) and has undertaken research and development projects with numerous organisations across Wales from Monmouthshire Council to Artis Community and BECTU.
He currently works for the University of South Wales managing their graduate incubator programmes – Startup Stiwdio Sefydlu – and has just stepped down after 23 years, from teaching on the MA Arts Management course at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. In addition, he holds several other roles including a Trustee at Newport Live and Chair of their Arts Commitee, a Non-Executive Board member for Creative Wales (a Welsh Government agency set up in 2020 to support the creative industries in Wales), a voluntary board member at Creative Cardiff and Gentle/Radical and previously 9 years as a Welsh Government appointed Council Member at ACW (with responsibility for equalities).
His consultancy projects (including those with the team in Richie Turner Associates) have ranged from an Efficiency and Innovation Review of S4C, the feasibility study for a UK wide art access card scheme for all 4 UK arts councils, and the disability aspect of ACW and Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales; Widening Engagement research programme.
