Gwen Lloyd Aubrey

With over 30 years’ experience in senior administrative and governance roles in the Education sector in Wales (Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies, the University of Wales, Cardiff University and The Learned Society of Wales, 10 years running her own translation business (Cywrain) and over 8 years as a lay inspector for His Majesty's
Inspectorate for Education and Training in Wales (Estyn), Gwen is a native Welsh speaker from North Wales. A member of Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru, Gwen provides a translation and transcription service to a number of well-known organisations and companies in Wales and England.

Known to her friends as ‘Merch y Mynydd’ – the Lady of the Mountains, Gwen is extremely proud of her Welsh language, culture and heritage, having been brought up on a farm in North Wales across the estuary overlooking the beautiful italian village of Portmeirion in a Welsh speaking home. To unwind, Gwen enjoys spending time with her best friend, Wilf, her dog, (and her partner and daughter) exploring the many wonderful woodland and mountain walks Wales has to offer.

Gwen prides herself on offering a personal, friendly, professional and first class service where quality is at the forefront of her business. Her mantra is - Until you understand your customers, both deeply and genuinely, you cannot truly serve them.
