Culture Change for Wales’ National Arts Companies

Newid Diwylliant | Culture Change is a new programme which aims to transform the organisations involved into organisations that are better equipped to attract and recruit people from the Global Majority and can provide inclusive workplaces and organisational culture. Newid Diwylliant | Culture Change also aims to make the Welsh arts sector more inclusive and appealing to people from the global majority by effective communication and engagement.
The bulk of the funding for this programme comes from the Culture, Heritage and Sport Wales Anti-racist Fund, provided by the Welsh Government.
The programme will be commissioning and delivering 4 key strands of work:
- A Critical Friends groups drawn from early and mid career Global Majority creatives
- A Culture Change Leadership programme for all the national arts companies plus a number of other keys arts organisations from across Wales
- A Leadership Programme for early stage and mid career Global Majority creatives across Wales
- Creating an Anti-rascist HR toolkit for all participating organisations to utilise.
Richie Turner Associates are project managing the overall programme alongside other organisations and freelancers who are delivering the various elements of the programme.
